When God says “Wait “.

Recently l have been pondering upon the things l desired at certain times and they didn’t occur when l expected.  Waiting can be rather frustrating, especially when it seems like time is running out or everyone else seems ahead.

I realised how great a Father God is not to give me things when l am not ready for them. God loves us so much and He wants us to do well in everything. He doesn’t want us overwhelmed and unable to go through his purpose for us in joy.

He cares about everything that concerns us. Many times we see delays as denials. Yet God is preparing us for greater things. He is working in us the right attitude, most cases God is making us deserving of that blessing. As God is a rewarder of those who deligently seek him ( Hebrews 11:6)

Psalms 84:11

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor;

No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

 So when God says wait,  that desire, that plan, or whatever you are seeking is not yet good for you. It may cause you to draw back or move away from the purpose of God.

You may not be ready for that platform yet. Instant gratification may cause you to be pressured by people and you end up drifting away from the plans and purpose of God which are always higher than ours.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope.

Remember God’s promises are yes and amen . If God said He will do it then He will. He is not a man that he should lie. Our God is able. As the word of God says in

Numbers 23:19 –            God is not a man, that He should lie,Nor a son of man, that He should repent.Has He said, and will He not do?Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

When God says wait, I realised He means trust me, he has something better for me. He is working it all out. God has put in us desires which He knows and will fulfill.

I’m learning to embrace the seasons as l wait on the promises of God.

I hope you are encouraged to wait on God.

Love

Shalom
