The painted picture..

So l have been a little frustrated about my pictures lately 😂. To be honest l allowed myself to get frustrated by a lot of things this month. That being said I’m grateful for the lessons that l learn in each and every challenge.

With only a few weeks left for October to end l look back and see that God really helped me through some tough times and taught me some tough lessons, revealing to me the need to work more so on my attitude in the stormy ⛈ seasons. The fact that I’m writing again is a miracle in itself.

Anyways as l was frustrated at myself wondering why l always look terrible in people’s pictures 😂, God gave me this amazing revelation that got right to the depths of my heart. I know that it might seem very petty to you but l have suffered from a deep seated inferiority complex for the longest of times and though for the most part l have healed, the devil can use a weird looking picture of me to remind me of my painful past.

So today God said to me “Shalom it’s just a painted picture. It doesn’t show who you really are, how kind you are, how loving you are, how much you desire to do well for others, it doesn’t show all that at all. So why are you frustrated at the painted picture.

  • How many times though do we paint a picture of perfection?
  • How many times to we uphold the picture, praise the picture of all that is happening and forget the effort that was put in getting the perfect picture?.
  • How many times do people put so much more effort on the wedding ceremony and forget that they have to work on the marriage itself.

Don’t be disheartened and discouraged by the picture that is painted to you

by your circumstances, by people around you, by how you look now, by what people say, not even by your mistakes It’s only their version and not really the truth . The truth should set you free. The truth is what God says. The true picture of who you are can only be painted by God.

So let God paint a picture of the true you, don’t concentrate on how others see you.. God has the bigger picture..

I hope you’re encouraged

Connection…

Have you ever come to a point you find it hard to pray, you have lost hope, you feel weary nothing is working out?. You find yourself impatient with everyone, unable to love, to be kind, self-controlled or whatever goodness you used to be able to do and be? A time when everything seems hard to do. Can l be honest?, l have been in such times.I found myself asking how did l get here? My connection had weakened, l was no longer plugging into my source of power. I was running on insufficientpower.

“When you lose your connection with God, you lose your access! “

Access to peace, joy, patience, self control, you basically lose your ability to bear the fruit of the spirit.

Isn’t it amazing how 🔸we know how to charge up the phone when it’s on low🔹 we know we can’t get any access without internet connection🔺we can’t make calls with insufficient credit in our phones 🔹 we can’t take any photos if we have no space to store them. Hence if you have no connection you are unable to get access and without access you really can’t do much.Interestingly when we look at nature we see that when we take any organism out of its natural ecosystem it will find it difficult to survive. (If we take a fish out of water it wouldn’t survive)..

♥️I love John 15:4 “Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you.Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me.” JOHN‬ ‭15:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The biggest mistake we could ever do is run from God. . God already knows our imperfections and struggles. He wants to help us. He can’t help us if we are running from Him.

I am reminded of all the things that Jesus Christ is to us, 1️⃣He is the True Vine2️⃣ The Good Shepard3️⃣ The Bread of Life 4️⃣The Door 🙌🏻5️⃣ The Way 6️⃣The Truth 7️⃣ The Resurrection …

How can we expect to have truth, life, good direction, goodness, peace …. without Him, when He is all these.

I am convicted to fight for my connection with God..

🔸Prayer is fundamental, it is communication with God.

🔸 The Word of God is our food, let us feed on it and meditate on it.

🔸 The power is in abiding, remaining connected, regardless of how much you feel you have sinned, God loves you.

Keep in touch with the Heavens ..

I hope you are encouraged

Birth-day…

With just one day to go for my birthday 🎉, in Australian time ( 16 September). l couldn’t help but wonder how much of the life I’m living is truly what God had intended for me? How much of His purposes am l fulfilling? How much of my goals are His? I realised l could actually live a life on earth and never really be who l was created to be.

We were all created by God, and for His purposes.. “Through Him and For Him🙌🏻, l think that’s just powerful..

There are many instances in the bible where we see God bringing an answer to a problem in the world by bringing a baby into the world. Each one of us has a purpose that God put in us, there is a situation that needs a person just like you to help solve. 🔸We have been loved and chosen beforehand , predestined, called , justified and we will also be glorified.

The birth of an answer 🔹Jesus was born to bring Salvation “She will give birth to a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (The LORD is salvation), for He will save His people from their sins.” MATTHEW 1:21 AMP

🔸Samuel was an answered prayer for Hannah and a prophet appointed by God “And all Israel from Dan [in the north] to Beersheba [in the south] knew that Samuel was appointed as a prophet of the LORD.” 1 SAMUEL 3:20 AMP

🔹John the Baptist – was born to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. “It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, TO TURN THE HEARTS OF THE FATHERS BACK TO THE CHILDREN, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous [which is to seek and submit to the will of God]–in order to make ready a people [perfectly] prepared [spiritually and morally] for the Lord.”LUKE 1:17 AMP

🔸Paul “Paul, an apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed) by the will of God, …COLOSSIANS 1:1 AMP

Jeremiah -““Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.””

‭‭JEREMIAH‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I can’t imagine how our lives would have turned out if these Great people in the Bible had not lived out their purposes in God.

And I am beginning to see more and more the importance of living in the will of God. Generations to come depend on our obedience.

7 Things about me 😊

1. I am a nurse
2.
the first born in a family of two

3️⃣ l love to worship God, I don’t like to be called a singer though, I am a minstrel 🙂

4️⃣ l have a crazy sense of humour 😂

5️⃣ I love ❤️ God, He is my daily bread, the air l breathe..

6️⃣ I enjoy writing and reading.

7️⃣ l believe that l have the ability to relate to different kinds of people, l love to love, to be resourceful and useful.

So l am brought to a time of reflection, and a time of pressing in to God, praying that He may grant us the grace to live out our purpose, giving birth to those things that He has put in us.

I hope this encourages you to see your birthday 🎉 in a even more special way and challenges you to seek out God’s purposes for your life.

Much Love❤️

The Word of our testimony..

I find it mind blowing, eye opening even, that one can overcome evil situations by the words that come out of their mouths.

Makes me wonder half the time why l never grasp the habit of confessing and speaking into existence the things l want to see in my life.

Come to think of it we serve a God who speaks things into existence

“(as it is written [in Scripture], “I HAVE MADE YOU A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS ”) in the sight of Him in whom he believed, that is, God who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.”

‭‭ROMANS‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Whatever comes out of our mouths therefore has the capacity to manifest itself into existence, be it sadness, be it joy either in our lives or in the person who we have spoken it to.

We should not take for granted our mouths, they are divine weapons ! When they are filled with the word of God , they have the capacity to change atmospheres.

It is with the mouths we give praise and worship to God.

“With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God.” JAMES‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

My focus today is on how we can better use the word of God, through the word of our testimony in difficult situations, even in good times.

Overcoming by the word of our testimony

(Confessing it out loud)

1️⃣In weakness – “I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose–I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]”PHILIPPIANS‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬ 🙌🏻

2️⃣Feeling timid- “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”2 TIMOTHY‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

3️⃣ Discouraged – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1:9 NIV

4️⃣Feeling unlovednor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ROMANS 8:39 AMP

5️⃣Things falling apart- “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” ROMANS 8:28 AMP 👌

6️⃣Fighting spiritual welfare – “When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.”COLOSSIANS 2:15 AMP

These are just some of the verses l came across, the Bible is a rich resource, More so, the Word of God, it is alive and active. When we speak it into our lives and circumstances it has the power to do that which it was sent to do!

I hope this encourages you, to testify of the works of God, to speak life into situations, to change your circumstances by your praise..

I am also taking hold of this principle and learning daily to watch over my words.

Much Love ❤️

Enriched relationships..

A few years back l heard a statement from my mentor that stuck with me “God protects us against our enemies, but He can’t protect us from our brothers” (The people that God has given you, your close family, your church brethren or anyone who has been placed into your life by God intentionally). I couldn’t understand it at first but recently l have come to understand it.

God gives us the responsibility to work out our relationships with those He gave us. It is up to us to forgive each other, to be truthful, to love, to respect , to honour ..

And God himself is our standard, our manual for how to relate to each other.”

If we but for one moment think of how we can improve the way we relate to each other, l believe the world would be a better place today.

So l ask, If you knew you had the power to make someone feel loved, feel secure, feel encouraged what would you do differently on a daily basis in order to enhance better relations?

How does God relate to us?

Here are some things l found out about how God encourages us to relate to Him and how He relates to us?

🔹He Loves and when God loves He gives. His love is strong as death, God sacrificed, something that He loved so deeply His Only Son- unselfish love.

🔸He is constant and unchanging, never Lies, God actually cannot lie, God

remains faithful and true to His word.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?”

NUMBERS‬ ‭23:19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

🔺God forgives, forever merciful, compassionate slow to anger, gracious and faithful.

Then the LORD passed by in front of him, and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth (faithfulness);”EXODUS‬ ‭34:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

1️⃣We could talk of how God always hears us when we call, 2️⃣ How he is always with us3️⃣How absolutely trustworthy and dependable God is4️⃣How He has plans for us to prosper5️⃣ How much God wants to fellowship with us6️⃣How so deeply concerned about us He is7️⃣How God grants us so much grace, honour. Oh how he has blessed us so, even when we don’t deserve it.. 🙌🏻 His ways are so perfect.

God is the perfect example of how we should conduct ourselves in our relationships.

Let us get into the habit of thinking about how we can love better, encourage more, be there for each other, communicate to each other, forgiving one another and improving, adding to each other’s lives as God desires.

🙏Prayer

Father thank you for loving us, thank you for granting us the ability to have a relationship with you, Help us to make you the standard of how we relate to each other, so that your Name may be glorified, that we may be filled with so much of you and less of us. Thank you God for you are a God who is able.

May God enrich your relationships and give you people that will love you as He does.

I hope you are encouraged

Is suffering a lost ministry in the church today?

Does God use suffering for our good? Is suffering a ministry? Is suffering a test ? In some cultures suffering is viewed as a curse or as a sign that God has forsaken you. Is this true? As a christians should we endure suffering?.

So many are the cases of people in the bible who had to go through some suffering before promotion. Take for example Joseph who had to endure years of suffering as God prepared him to lead and save many.

Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” Psalms‬ ‭105:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

🔹 We learn from the story of Joseph that he had to go through many trials because of the calling that was on his life.

🔹We also learn that God tested Joseph’s character through that time of suffering.

Suffering also has to do with character pruning, so many gifted people lack character in the church today . Because they did not allow God to take them through a process of character pruning, which breaks every ounce of pride and self-will.

Even generally, one at times has to go through some failures until they get a win.

Physically you have to train and sometimes it’s uncomfortable but it has great benefits.

🔺However when it comes to the things of God we all tend to think well it shouldn’t be this hard. I’m totally guilty of complaining when things get hard and the Lord has been teaching me to learn to endure times of suffering and still be fruitful in those times .

This week l had a distressing encounter that almost threw me into a defensive mode and l was ready to literally lash out 🙈. I guess l had been hanging on for years doing good and being patient in this particular situation.

I was about to put matters in my own hands. Well thankfully 😅 the Holy Spirit stopped me.

And he whispered to me “suffering for doing good is a ministry in itself “. God sees, let the vengeance be His.🙏

So l was lead to study on this very unpopular topic of suffering in the aspect of Christianity.

Suffering is painful, it is distressing and very uncomfortable more so when you are having to endure undeservedly.
God uses suffering to prune us, to refine us and to mould us.

Moreover when we have endured we are able to help others, it is never really about us it is always about God and His purpose.

Indeed, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested and chosen you in the furnace of affliction.” ISAIAH‬ ‭48:10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

‭‭ “You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver. You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs. Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.” Psalms‬ ‭66:10-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Recently we had to give out some flyers as youth at a shopping centre, l tell you it was quite the experience. The flyers had a stop ignoring God message and you can imagine the amount to despising we suffered. We did have some people who were welcoming but we also received a few verbal outburst that weren’t too kind.
If you know me, you know that this was quite a challenge,

1️⃣I’m an introvert 2️⃣I am a lover at heart, and lets just say being rejected is not really my favourite things 😂

But l realised that they were not really rejecting me but God. Later on l actually thought to myself l am actually honoured to have been given a chance to suffer for the sake of God’s kingdom.

When l look at examples that we have had set before us, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour Himself suffered for our sake, Paul had to suffer, Stephen suffered, most of the disciples suffered for the sake of the gospel and we are saved because they obeyed and endured.

But we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while [by taking on the limitations of humanity], crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering of death, so that by the grace of God [extended to sinners] He might experience death for [the sins of] everyone.”HEBREWS‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

it was fitting for God [that is, an act worthy of His divine nature] that He, for whose sake are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the author and founder of their salvation perfect through suffering [bringing to maturity the human experience necessary for Him to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest].”HEBREWS‬ ‭2:10‬

The testing of our faith produces endurance. Just because we are going through trials doesn’t mean God is not with us. And most of the times we suffer as training, there are people waiting on you and me to share with them this good news of salvation.

🙏I pray you get encouragement through this. Your suffering is not in vain.

Much love ❤️

Hope never puts us to shame.

Hard times do come from time to time. Trying times and circumstances that test our trust and hope. When we lose hope in these situations we lose our joy, our faith, our strength, our love and we become sick in our hearts.👇🏾

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.” PROVERBS‬ ‭13:12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Hope expresses a cherished desire, along with a confident assurance of obtaining that which is longed for.

Having hope in God, is a practical tool we can use in difficult situations. I for one get into all sorts of trials and l know God is strengthening me through them. And whenever l look back l see that God is faithful and he has never tested me beyond what l can bear.

And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation].” ROMANS‬ ‭5:3-4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Isn't this ☝🏽 just perfect 👌 . Whenever we hope in his promises of protection, deliverance, love, grace , mercy, the list goes on but our hope in God will never put us to shame.

Another promise of God we can hope in is written in Jeremiah 29: 11

“~‘For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope.”

Therefore we hope in the plans God has for us, they will surely come to pass 🙏.

🔸 Indeed, none of those who [expectantly] wait for You will be ashamed; Those who turn away from what is right and deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed (humiliated, embarrassed).”
‭‭PSALM‬ ‭25:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

🔸Kings will be your attendants, And their princesses your nurses. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth And lick the dust of your feet; And you shall know [with an understanding based on personal experience] that I am the LORD; For they shall not be put to shame who wait and hope expectantly for Me.” ISAIAH 49:23

🔸O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption.”PSALM‬ ‭130:7‬ ‭AMP‬‬ 🙌🏻

🙏 His eyes are on us when we hope confidently in His ability to do for us as he promised!

Abraham is another great example of unwavering hope and faith “In hope against hope Abraham believed that he would become a father of many nations, as he had been promised [by God]: “S O [numberless] SHALL YOUR DESCENDANTS BE.”” ROMANS‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The Holy Spirit will give us hope http://bible.com/1588/rom.15.13.amp and confidence in God's promises.

Benefits of hope

Joy – “🙌🏻constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength],” ROMANS‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭AMP‬

Boldness 👇🏾
“Since we have such a [glorious] hope and confident expectation, we speak with great courage,”. 2 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭3:12‬

Faith & Love –
for we have heard of your faith in Jesus [how you lean on Him with absolute confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness],
and of the [unselfish] love which you have for all the saints (God’s people); because of the [confident] hope [of experiencing that] which is reserved and waiting for you in heaven. You previously heard of this hope in the message of truth, the gospel [regarding
salvation]”. COLOSSIANS‬ ‭1:4-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Glory – “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:2 KJV

All your hopes and efforts are not to waste, The eyes of the Lord are on you. Keep your eyes on Him and He will never put you and me to shame.

I hope you are strengthened in your Hope in God.

Much love 💕
